Problem
You need to engage visitors with hands-on experiences.
Solution
Devise real-life experiences that complement the information learned online. Provide detailed instructions, materials, and photographs to explain what to do. The text should be easy to follow, and convenient to print.
If the experience is intended for use in a classroom, provide simple instructions that can be printed for students, and a more detailed version for teachers that includes extra notes on implementation and the concepts being taught.
Discussion
There is extensive research into experiential learning, and providing the user with take-away experiments helps to solidify concepts learned during the online experience. By incorporated real-life experiments into the design of the online component, visitors will received added value to their online learning.
